(i) Jawaharlal Nehru Port has a vast hinterland covering the whole of Maharashtra and large parts of M.P, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and some parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

(ii) Exports: Cotton textiles, leather, tobacco, chemical goods. 

(iii) Imports: Crude oil, superior quality raw cotton, latest machines, instruments and drugs.
