Given:

Polynomials are x³ +ax² + 5 and x³ - 2x² + a

Polynomials divided by x - 2 leaves same remainder.

To find: value of a.

We use Remainder theorem which states that When a polynomial p(x) is divided by linear polynomial of the form x - a then remainder is equal to p(a).
