Dry heating: the rise in temperature of stored food grains, due to respiration of insects present in the food grain is known as dry heating. Moisture content is not a factor for it.

Wet heating: the rise in temperature of stored food grains, due to the growth of micro-organisms due to moisture content in the stored food grains is known as wet heating.
