Glycosidic bond (- O -) is the bond formed between the OH group attached to an anomeric carbon atom of a monosaccharide can easily dehydrate with an -OH group attached to another monosaccharide leading to the formation of a disaccharide.

Peptide bond (-NHCO-) is the bond formed between the carboxylic group (COOH) of one amino acid w ith the amino group (NH2) of another amino acid, with elimination of w ater to form a dipeptide.
