(d) CFCs and HCFCs destroy ozone in the stratosphere. These chemicals are inert, non-flammable, nontoxic, and lighter than air and can remain intact for years. They contain Chlorine and Fluorine, common being CFC-ll, CFC-12, CFC-22 and CFC- 13.
