On expressing fractions as improper fraction –

Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder

(i) 3 × 7 + 2 = 21 + 2 = 23

Thus, improper fraction = 23/2

(ii) 4 × 5 + 3= 20+ 3 = 23

Thus, improper fraction = 23/4

(iii) 2 × 4 + 1 = 8 + 1 = 9

Thus, improper fraction = 9/2
