Ramesh covered 4(1/4) km of distance by bus and he walked (3/4) km distance to reach school from home. How much total distance he covered to reach school?

Ramesh covered distance by bus = 4(1/4) km or (17/4) km. 

Ramesh walked to school = (3/4) km 

∴ Total distance covered by Ramesh 

= ((17/4) + (3/4)) Km 

= (17 + 3)/4 Km 

= (20/4) Km = 5 Km
