Drawing a perpendicular on given point on a line.
Step 1 : Point L is given on line MN.
Step 2 : Assume L as a center and take a convenient radius draw an arc which will intersect line MN at points C and D.
Step 3 : Keeping the pointed tip of the compasses on point C. Draw an arc above the line. Keeping the radius same, draw another arc while the tip of the compass is at D. The point of intersection of two arcs is labelled as Q. Join Q and L.
Step 4 : In this way, QL is perpendicular to MN.
