Six square flower beds each of side 1 m are dug on a piece of land 8 m long 6 m wide. What is the area of the remaining part of the land?

Length of land = 8 m and b = 6 m 

Area of land = 8 × 6 = 48 sq. m 

Area of six squared flower beds each of sides 1 m = (side x side) × Number of flower beds

= (1 × 1) × 6 = 6 sq. m 

remaining area = 48 – 6 = 42 sq. m 

Thus, Area of remaining land will be 42 sq. m.
