((3x – 8)/2x) = 1

We have,

((3x – 8)/2x) = 1

By cross multiplication, we get

(3x – 8) = 2x

Transposing -8 to RHS it becomes 8 and 2x to LHS it becomes – 2x

3x – 2x = 8

x = 8
