In ∆ABC, AC2 = AB2 + BC2

∴ (122√2)2 = AB2 + AB2

∴ AB2 = (122 x 2)/2 = 122

∴ AB = 12 cm

∴ Perimeter of ABCD = 4 x 12 = 48 cm
