Any three hues equidistant from one and other on the colour wheel are called triad colour scheme. 

Example: 

• Primary colours: Red, Blue, Yellow. 

• Secondary colours: Green, Purple, Orange. 

• Intermediate colours: Blue-Green, Yellow-Orange.
