The demand and supply of foreign exchange is influenced by changes in exports and imports. If exports exceeds imports, demand for domestic currency increases so that rate of foreign exchange is more in its favour. But if imports exceeds exports exports, the demand for foreign exchange increases and the rate of exchange will move against the country.
