Two chambers containing 20 L20 L of a gas at 55 and 30 30  of another gas at 1010 atm are connected through a pipe. if the gases do not react with each other what is the final partial pressure of the 1st1st gas when the pipe is opened.

As we Know,

Partial pressure = mole fraction. Pressure given

= 20/ 50. 5

= 2 ATM partial pressure

And

= 30/50. 10

= 6 ATM partial pressure

Total p.p

when pipe is opened = 2+6= 8 ATM p.p.
