I am against the view that public examinations at school level should be abolished.
Today, each state in India has its own education board and the standard of each board differs.
Given the diversity in our country, it is better that we have a public examination to evaluate the capacity of the children at the tenth and twelfth standard.
The tenth board exams will not only help to get us prepared for the twelfth boards but will also help us in securing a place in the group of subjects we would like to specialize in.
Today, with globalization, it has became a must that the education system is standardized to help children compete with the best in the world. The public examinations will give them a common platform to compete for professional courses.
Hence, I am against the view that public examinations should be abolished.
