If A and B are two matrices of the order 3 × m and 3 × n, respectively, and m = n, then the order of matrix (5A – 2B) is

A. m × 3

As order of A is 3 × m and order of B is 3 × n

As m = n. So, order of A and B is same = 3 × m

∴ subtraction is possible.

And (5A – 3B) also has same order.
