Given,

By equality of two matrices, we have-

4x = x + 6

⇒ 3x = 6 ⇒ x = 2

Also, 2x + y = 7

⇒ y = 7 – 2x = 7 – 4 = 3

∴ y = 3

As only option (B) matches with our answer.

∴ Option(B) is the correct answer.
