A gas turbine power plant is to produce 800 kW of power by compressing atmospheric air at 20°C to 800 kPa. If the maximum temperature is 800°C, determine the minimum mass flow rate of the air. If the efficiency of turbine is 85% and that of the compressor is 80%, determine the mass flow rate needed, keeping the other quantities unchanged. Also calculate the cycle efficiency. Assume cp = 1.0 kJ/kg.k; cy=0.717 kJ/kg. K, and R=0.287 kJ/kg.K.
