Best answer

P(H) = Probability of husband’s selection = 1/6

P(W) = Probability of wife’s selection = 1/5

(i) P(HW) = P(H) P(W) = (1/6) x (1/5) = 1/30

(ii) P(HW' or WH') = P(H) P(W') + P(W) P(H')

(iii) P(H'W') = P(H') P(W') = (5/6) x (4/5) = 4/6 = 2/3
