Best answer

Let the three consecutive terms of G.P. be a/r, a, ar.

Product of three terms = 216

(a/r) x a x ar = 216

a3 = 216

a3 = 63

a = 6

Sum of their products in pairs = 156

When a = 6 ; r = 3

a/r = 6/3 = 2

a = 6

ar = 6 x 3 = 18

a = 6; r = 1/3

a/r = 6 x (3/1) = 18

a = 6

ar = 6 x (1/3) = 2

The three terms are 2, 6, 18 or 18, 6,2.
