Carolus Linnaeus introduced the Binomial Nomenclature system of scientific naming. According to the Binomial Nomenclature system, the scientific name of the organism consists of two words, the first one is the name of the genus where are the second one is the name of the species. The names are latinised. The scientific name is italicized when printed and separately underlined when handwritten.
