Which would require a greater force for accelerating a 2 kg of mass at 4 ms-2 or a 3 kg mass at 2 ms-2 ?

We know, force F = ma 

Given m1 = 2 kg a1 = 4 ms-2 

m2 = 3 kg a2 = 2 ms-2 

F1 = m1 a1 = 2 × 4 = 8 N 

F = m2a2 = 3 × 2 = 6 N

∴ F1 > F2 .

Thus, accelerating 2 kg mass at 4 ms-2 would require a greater force.
