Let P(11, 7), Q(13.5, 4) and R(9.5, 4) be the midpoints of the sides AB, BC and AC respectively of ΔABC. Find the coordinates of the vertices A, B and C. Hence find the area of ΔABC and compare this with area of ΔPQR.

Best answer

p (11, 7), Q (13.5, 4), and R (9.5, 4) are the mid points of the sides of a ΔABC.

y2 + y3 = 8 ... (4)

Mid point AC

(8) - (4) → y1 = 15 - 8 = 7

(8) - (6) → y2 = 15 - 8 = 7

= (1/2) [48]

= 24 sq. units

= (1/2)(147 - 195)
