The equation relating the change in length and the change in temperature of a body is given below: 

\(\frac{ΔL}{L_0}\)= αL ΔT 

ΔL – Change in length (Final length – Original length) 

L0 – Original length 

ΔT – Change in temperature (Final temperature – Initial temperature)

αL – Coefficient of linear expansion.
