Find the equation of a straight line joining the point of intersection of 3x + y + 2 = 0 and x – 2y – 4 = 0 to the point of intersection of 7x – 3y = -12 and 2y = x + 3

Substitute y = 9/11 in (4), we get

(31/11)x = (-15/11)(y + 2)

31x + 15y + 30 = 0 is the required equation of the line.
