In anaerobic respiration, the product can be either lactic acid or ethanol + CO₂ on the basis of enzyme involved. Yeast contains the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase which helps in the formation of alcohol. Due to this reason, fermentation will occur in yeast which will result in the formation of alcohol and CO₂.
