The speed of a particle is constant. Will it have acceleration? Justify with an example.

1. When a particle is moving with a constant speed along a straight line, it has no acceleration. 

2. When a particle is moving with a constant speed along a circular path, the velocity changes due to the change in direction. 

Hence it has a acceleration. 

Ex. Revolution of Earth around the Sun.
