Best answer

The potential energy due to gravitation is given by

P.E = mgh

Where, m = Mass,

G = acceleration due to gravity,

H = height,

Given

Mass = 5 Kg,

P.E = 490 J,

G = 9.8m/s2

H =?

490 = 5 × 9.8 × h

⇒ h = \(\frac{490}{9.8\times5}\) = \(\frac{490}{49}\) = 10 m

Hence the body should be raised to 10 m
