Given: A triangle with vertices A(x, y), B(1, 2) and C (2, 1)

To find: x + y = 15 or -9

The area is 6 square units.

[x + 1 – y + 2y - 4] = 12

[x + y - 3] = 12

x + y =15

Hence, Proved
