Best answer

Given A(8, 1), B(k, -4) and C(2, -5) are collinear

To Find: Find the value of k

So, The given points are collinear, if are (∆ABC) = 0

= 8(1)+k(-6)+2(3) = 0

= 8 - 6k + 6 = 0

= -6k = -14

Hence, K = 7/3
