Best answer

Given A(2, 1), B(p, -1) and C(-1, 3) are collinear

To find: Find the value of p

So, The given points are collinear, if are (∆ABC) = 0

= 2(-4)+p(2)-2=0

= -8 +2p -2 = 0

= 2p = 10

Hence, p = 5
