Meena went to a bank to withdraw Rs. 2,000. She asked the cashier to give her Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 notes only Meena got 25 notes in all. Find how many notes of Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 she received.

Let Meena has received x no. of 50 re notes and y no. of 100 re notes.

So, 50x + 100y = 2000 

x + y = 25 multiply by 50

Y = 15 

Putting value of y = 15 in equation (2) 

x + 15 = 25 

x = 10 

Meena has received 10 pieces 50 re notes and 15 pieces of 100 re notes
