Best answer

(b) 10.25

Let the population of the city be 100. Then

Population of city after 2 years = 100\(\big(1+\frac{5}{100}\big)^2\)

= 100 x \(\frac{21}{20}\) x \(\frac{21}{20}\) = 110.25

\(\therefore\) Increase per hundred in 2 years = 110.25 – 100

= 10.25%
