Best answer

(d) 3591

Total number of ticketless travellers in April

= 4000 x \(\big(1+\frac{5}{100}\big)\)\(\big(1-\frac{5}{100}\big)\)\(\big(1-\frac{10}{100}\big)\)

= 4000 x \(\frac{21}{20}\) x \(\frac{19}{20}\) x \(\frac{9}{10}\)

= 3591.
