Answer the following with reference to the anatomy of monocot stem:

(i) How are the vascular bundles arranged? 

(ii) How are the xylem vessels arranged in each bundle? 

(iii) Are vascular bundles closed ones? What type of tissues they lack?

(i) Vascular bundles are scattered in the ground tissue. 

(ii) Y-shaped (vessels are arranged to form Y, larger towards upper side while smaller towards lower side); endarch condition. 

(iii) Closed ones. They lack cambium.
