If 1.5x = 0.04y then what is the value of \(\frac{y - x}{y + x}\) ?

1.5x = 0.04 y ⇒ \(\frac{y}{x} = \frac{1.5}{0.04} = \frac{150}{4}=37.5\)

∴ \(\frac{y-x}{y+x}=\frac{\frac{y}{x}-1}{\frac{y}{x}+1}=\frac{37.5-1}{37.5+1}= \frac{36.5}{38.5}=\frac{73}{74}.\)
