Seasonal winds:

  • Winds which change their direction according to season in a year. Also called monsoon winds. 
  • Example North East and South west monsoon winds.

Local winds:

  • Winds which blow over a small area only during a particular time of a day or short period of a year. 
  • Example Land and Sea breezes.
