Cost of one note book = 10ab

Babu has total Rs. = 5a^2b + 20ab^2 + 40ab

So,  total note books can by Babu=

 ( 5ab^2b + 20ab^2 + 40ab) / 10ab

={ 5ab(a + 4b + 8)}/ 10ab

 = (a + 4b + 8)/2
