A man has to build a rhombus shaped swimming pool. One of the diagonal is 13 m and the other is twice the first one. Then find the area of the swimming pool and also find the cost of cementing the floor at the rate of Rs 15 per sq. cm.

Given base; height = 7 : 3

Let base = 7x cm

Height = 3x cm

Also given height = 45 cm

3x = 45 cm

x = \(\frac{45}{3}\) = 15

Now base = 7x cm = 7 x 15 cm = 105 cm

Area of the parallelogram = b x h sq. unit

= 105 x 45 = 4725 cm2

= 4725 cm2
