A right DABC with sides 5 cm, 12 cm and 13 cm is revolved about the side 12 cm. What is the volume of the solid so obtained ?

Here, radius (r) of cone = 5 cm, vertical height (h) of the cone = 12 cm.

∴ Volume of the cone = \(\frac13\)πr²h 

= \(\frac13\)π x 5² x 12 cu cm

= 100 π cu cm.
