Classical smog is coal smoke and fog. It has SO2, SO3, aerosols etc. It is a reducing mixture and occurs in cool humid climate. Photochemical smog is formed by oxidized hydrocarbons and ozone in a warm and dry climate. It is brown in colour in a warm and dry climate. It is brown in colour due to presence of NO2. It is oxidizing in nature.
