Best answer

Let y = x + 3

(i) if x = 0

y = 0 + 3 = 3

∴ y = 3

(ii) y = 0

0 = x + 3

∴ x = – 3

(iii) x = – 2

y = – 2 + 3

∴ y = 1

(iv) y = -3

-3 = x + 3

∴ x = -6

Let 2x + 7 – 6 = 0

(i) x = 0

2 x 0 + y – 6 = 0

∴ 7 = 6

(ii) y = 0

2x + 0 – 6 = 0

2x = 6

x = 3

(iii) x = – 2

2 x (- 2) + y – 6 = 0

y – 10 = 0

y = 10

(iv) y = -3

2x – 3 – 6 = 0

2x = 9

x = 9/2
