In the given triangle ABC, the length of sides AB and AC is same (i.e., b = c) and 60º < A < 90º. Then

(a) b < a < b√3

(b) c < a < c√2

(c) b < a < 2b

(d) \(\frac{c}{3}\) < a < 3c

Best answer

(b) c < a < c√2

When ∠ = A 60º and b = c, then ΔABC is equilateral

⇒ a = b = c

when A = 90º, then ΔABC is an isosceles right angled triangle and a = √2b or a = √2c.

∴ 60º < A < 90º = c < a < √2c.
