Two satellites A and B go round a planet pin circular orbits having radius 4R and R respectively. If the speed of the satellite A is 3v, find the speed of the satellite B.

As, vo\(\sqrt{\frac{GM}{R}}\)

So, For A 

3v = \(\sqrt{\frac{GM}{4R}}\) ................(1)

And for B

v' = \(\sqrt{\frac{GM}{R}}\) ......................(2)

Dividing (2) by (1) we get,

\(\therefore\) \(\frac{v'}{3v}\) = 2

or v' = 6v
