Incomplete Dominance Co-dominance
  • F1 generation does not resemble either of the parent but show and intermediate trait.
  • Example:

Snapdragon/Antirrhinum sp/dog flower/mirabilis jalapa/ four O’clock plant.

  • Both dominant alleles express themselves in F1.
  • Example AB blood group in human.

Incomplete dominance - When homozygous dominant and homozygous recessive parents are crossed all members of F1 progeny will show intermediate trait.

Co dominance - When IA and IB are present together they both produce their own sugar / antigen
