Correct answer = (b) parallel

The given equations are as follows:

6x - 2y + 9 = 0 and 3x - y + 12 = 0

They are of the following form:

a1x + b1y + c1 = 0 and a2x + b2y + c2 = 0

Here, a1 = 6, b1 = -2, c1 = 9 and a2 = 3, b2 = -1 and c2 = 12

The given system has no solution.

Hence, the lines are parallel.
