Let the number of coins of denominations of Rs. 1, and Rs. 2 and Rs. 5 be 3x, 5x and 7x, respectively.
The total value of the coins in the bag = Rs. [3x + 5x(2) +7x(5)] = Rs.(3x+10x+35x) = Rs. 48 x.
Given, the total amount in the bag = Rs. 144
` rArr 48x = 144`
`rArr x = 3`.
The number of Rs. 1 coins in the bag = 3x = 9.
` :.` The number of Rs. 2 coins in the bag = 5x = 5(3) = 15
The number of Rs. 5 coins in the bag = 7x = 21.
`:.` The total value of Rs. 2 coins in the bag = Rs. ` 15 xx 2= Rs.30`.
