Intercepts 3, 4 and 1, 8 on the axes 

To find: 

Tangent of the angle between the lines 

Concept Used: 

Angle between two lines.

Explanation: 

The respective equations of the lines having intercepts 3, 4 and 1, 8 on the axes are

Assuming: m1 and m2 be the slope of the lines (1) and (2), respectively. 

∴ m\(-\frac{4}{3}\) , m2 = - 8 

Let θ be the angle between the lines (1) and (2).

⇒ θ = \(tan^{-1}\Big(\frac{4}{7}\Big)\) 

Hence, the tangent of the angles between the lines is \(\frac{4}{7}\) .
