Best answer
The loss in weight of an object when immersed in water depends on its volume. Thus, two objects with equal volumes have the same loss of weight.. But their own weights depend on their densities. In case, their densities are different, their weights in air will be different. For example, cork ball and a steel ball of the same size undergo the same loss in weight in water but these two have differents weights in air.
