Best answer

To find: Value of tan (-300°)

We have,

tan (-300°) = - tan (300°)

[∵ tan(-θ) = -tan θ]

= - tan [90° × 3 + 30°]

Clearly, 300° is in IVth Quadrant and the multiple of 90° is odd

= - cot 30°

= -√3 [∵ cot30° = √3]
